2 S.C. women arrested for allegedly encouraging kids at their day care to fight each other

Two women from Columbia working as a day care employee were arrested this week as they were accused for multiple charges for allegedly directing minors in their day care.On November 9,2023 the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office announced that two women named Ericka Jones and Serena Caldwell aged 27 year and 56 year respectively both were charged in contributing to the delinquency of a minor and unlawful conduct to a child.

The officials investigated into this incident that allegedly occurred at Kids Unlimited of Prosperity day care. Jones and Caldwell both faced 14 and 15 counts respectively and got appeared before a judge and were released from the Newberry County Jail.

According to WIS-TV reported that the children who were included of 3 years and 4 years old. This report says that Sheriff Lee Foster said Caldwell and Jones encouraged two children to fight among themselves and to exhibit violence. They have also allowed the violence to be continued without doing any correction.

They  also initiated other students or other clients of day care to create violence and to punish a child and to make complaint of children who were involved in that fight. After this the owner of Kids Unlimited named John David Dawkins immediately terminated them.
