In Hawaii, Hailey Dandurand is confronted with the likelihood of spending numerous decades in prison, although there is a chance for her eventual release, as a consequence of her involvement in the vicious killing of a woman while her daughter was present.

Honolulu jurors convicted 26-year-old Hailey Dandurand of murder, kidnapping, and burglary on Tuesday. As a result, she was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole, according to Law and Crime.
Both Hailey Dandurand and her ex-boyfriend, Stephen Brown, were separately convicted of the same crimes related to the brutal murder and kidnapping of Boinville, a part-time house cleaner, and her then-8-year-old daughter at a Pupukea vacation rental on December 7, 2017.
The jury found Dandurand guilty of second-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, second-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, burglary, and unauthorized possession of personal confidential information for using Boinville’s debit card, which she admitted to.

Prosecutors sought the highest penalty allowable under the laws of Hawaii for the extremely violent murder of substitute teacher Telma Boinville, 51, who was killed at a Pupukea vacation home where she worked as a house cleaner to support her 8-year-old daughter. Following the killing, Hailey Dandurand and her then-boyfriend, Stephen Brown, 29, kidnapped and restrained the victim’s daughter, subjecting her to taunts about her mother’s death while she was kept inside the home.
The couple escaped in Boinville’s truck and were captured approximately seven hours later in Mililani after a swift and intense social media response.
During the trial, the prosecution emphasized the extreme brutality of Boinville’s death and the defendant’s actions toward the victim’s child after the murder. In response to the situation where Makana was bound and left in the bedroom on December 7, 2017, Deputy Prosecutor Scott Bell pointed out that there was a complete absence of empathy, selflessness, care, and compassion.
