The NBA released its group stage game schedule on Tuesday. The new NBA in-season tournament will take place in Las Vegas and will feature the first NBA Cup awarding. All 30 NBA teams compete in four games against conference opponents they were paired with last month at summer league in Las Vegas. These games are all a part of the teams’ regular 82-game schedule and as part of the new NBA in-season tournament.
The league once again has no games scheduled on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 7), but the four group-stage games, which will feature two home and two away games for each team, will take place over seven dates in November: four Fridays (the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th), and three Tuesdays (the 14th, 21st, and 28th).
Is New NBA In-Season Tournament beneficial for the Players?
The new NBA in-season tournament winner team will receive $500,000 each while the runners up will receive $200,000 each as additional incentive. The losing semifinalist will receive a check for $100,000 each and the losing quarterfinalist will receive checks for $50,000 apiece.
