The leaders of the Rancho Sante Fe Foundation have selected 14 organizations that help military and veteran communities in San Diego to receive funding from their grant initiative called ‘The Patriot Connection’.
Some of the beneficiaries of the Rancho Santa Fe Foundation included recognized entities such as Armed Services YMCA San Diego, Biocom California Institute, Support The Enlisted Project, and the Foundation for Women Warriors, among others. These reputable organizations have played a crucial role in delivering crucial assistance to military, veteran, and family communities.
Known for its deep military history, San Diego is home to a significant number of military members and veterans. However, these groups face unique challenges such as managing higher living costs and requiring additional assistance. Since the year 2008, the Rancho Sante Fe Foundation has been a leading supporter of San Diego’s military community, contributing over 2.4 million to local nonprofits. In the latest grant cycle,350,300 was given to 14 nonprofits assisting military personnel, veterans and their families in San Diego County.

Different Types of Grants Were Granted Out in the recent Patriots Connection Program by the Rancho Sante Fe Foundation
According to Patch, Rancho Sante Fe Foundation granted nine grants for multiple years and five grants for a single year in the recent Patriots Connection program.
The Rancho Sante Fe Foundation and its rationale is that offering more multiyear grants enables nonprofit partners to utilize their time more effectively, as seeking grants at times divert their attention from immediate community-serving responsibilities.
