The Red Sox today optioned right handed pitcher Zack Weiss to Triple A Worcester after claiming him off waivers from the Los Angeles. Red Sox today move right handed pitcher Corey Kluber to the 60 Day Injured List in order to free up space the 40 man roster. Although neither player is anticipated to reach Boston this season Weiss replacing Kluber on the roster would theoretically be a benefit for the Red Sox today.
