Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Highlights Reform Initiatives in Senate Hearing

Peters stated that out of nearly 158,000 incarcerated individuals, about 1,700 identify as transgender. Jon Ossoff inquired about the measures the Federal Bureau of Prisons has taken to mitigate the alarming instances of sexual assault within their facilities.
