New York City Department of Buildings Former Commissioner Is Facing A Bribery Case Along With Other Individuals

New York City Department of Buildings’ Former Commissioner’s Crimes

Eric Ulrich, the former New York City Department of Buildings commissioner, surrendered to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in his bribery scandal. Ulrich, New York City Department of Buildings’ former commissioner, is accused of accepting over $150,000 in bribes, including Mets season tickets, a custom suit, artwork, and cash for gambling.

The former commissioner of the New York City Department of Buildings allegedly used his position to help friends and associates. Four indictments were revealed, three charges with bribery and one for failing to disclose alleged gains were given to the New York City Department of Buildings former commissioner.

Six others, aside from the former commissioner of the New York City Department of Buildings, including a real estate developer and individuals tied to organized crime, were also charged. New York City Department of Buildings’ former commissioner claims to have warned Mayor Eric Adams of the investigation, though Adams denies it.

According to a published article by The Real Deal, the former commissioner of the New York City Department of Buildings resigned after the investigation began and had previously served on the City Council.

Not Guilty Of Bribery And Corruption

In a published article by The New York Times, the former commissioner and five other men have pleaded not guilty to their bribery and corruption cases.
