A confrontation is captured on security footage from a Florida business after two women are accused of throwing a baby around “like a toy” while intoxicated.
In connection with an incident that occurred on September 14 at the Coyote Ugly bar in Daytona Beach, Sierrah Newell, 20, and Brianna Lafoe, 19, were both taken into custody and charged with child abuse. Officers were informed that two ladies were standing four feet apart and throwing a child back and forth, according to an arrest document.
The women also turned the youngster upside down, according to the report.
Lafoe allegedly threatened to strike the mother before flipping the child upside down and holding him there by the ankles, according to a witness.
According to the affidavit, Daytona Beach Police Department investigators observed a witness video showing Lafoe swinging the infant up and down while standing on concrete.
Later, Lafoe allegedly attacked the witness who was videotaping the incident.
You can hear the 19-year-old screaming at the onlookers, “You shouldn’t have been filming our baby.”
Before appearing to flail her hand at someone in the footage, Lafoe could be seen swinging the infant up and down.
The police report states that both of the minor women were drunk. The youngster was brought to a nearby hospital, where X-rays suggested a broken arm.
Lafoe was also accused of violence in connection with the event.
The majority of the event was captured on surveillance footage at Crazy John’s Recreational Cannabis business, according to FOX 35.
“It really breaks your heart to see a little one go through something like that,” said Shawn Knapp, a manager at Crazy John’s Recreational Cannabis.
