In a violent collision in western New York involving a school bus returning from a field trip carrying more than a dozen students and teachers, one of the drivers perished.
Around 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, a sedan on Lake Road in Webster allegedly drove out into the path of a school bus carrying 22 high school kids and three adults.
The sedan’s driver was killed instantly in the collision, according to the authorities.
According to the police, one youngster was hospitalised after suffering a leg injury.
Huge grey smoke plumes could be seen rising from the yellow school bus in a video that was posted after the crash as firefighters kept battling the big fire.
As responding law enforcement continues to evaluate the damage and clean up from the fatal crash, the intersection has remained closed.
