In the University of Illinois Memorial Stadium in Champaign, a fire started on Tuesday night.

As firefighters battled the fire, smoke could be seen billowing from the stadium at 1402 S. First St. in Champaign.
Within roughly 30 minutes, the fire was out.
According to a statement from the University of Illinois, the fire was near the stadium’s southwest corner, or “horseshoe,” far from the spectator areas, according to Joey Wagner of the Illini Inquirer.
According to the statement, there were no injuries.
On Friday at 7 o’clock, the Illini will play host to Nebraska on the football pitch, according to the announcement. The statement noted that although the Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics will assess, early signs suggest that the game should be permitted to take place at the stadium.
