A suspect has been arrested by Illinois State Police for vandalising Governor JB Pritzker’s Chicago home on Monday morning.
According to state police, troopers from the Governor’s Executive Protection Unit arrived to the home at 9:40 a.m. after someone threw rocks through three windows.
The area was searched by troopers and Chicago police. A suspect was apprehended by CPD.
The governor and his wife were at home at the time of the incident, according to Illinois State Police, but no one was injured.
The defendant is still being held in custody as the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office investigates.
