Police Launch Investigation into Two Gunpoint Sexual Assaults in Kingsessing

Police in Philadelphia are seeking for a gunman who they think raped two women in the Southwest Philadelphia neighbourhood of Kingsessing.

Both women said a man approached them with a gun and demanded money. He raped them after they handed over the cash, according to authorities.

One woman reported being assaulted around 3 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. She got stuck in traffic at the intersection of 55th Street and Kingsessing Avenue. She claimed that after the man assaulted her, he forced her to drive to an ATM and withdraw additional cash.

He was dressed in a blue mask, dark grey trousers, and a grey hoodie, according to her.

The other woman claimed she was attacked while strolling near 51st Street and Springfield Avenue on Sunday at 5 p.m. The individual was dressed in dark jeans, a blue hoodie, a blue mask and a red Phillies cap, according to her.

Police suspect the two assaults were committed by the same person.
