According to authorities, one person was shot and killed on Thursday night in Kansas City’s Blue Hills neighbourhood.
According to a statement from Sgt. Jake Becchina, a department spokesperson, officers were called to 57th Street and Park Avenue at around 10 p.m. At the site, a male gunshot victim was declared deceased.
Police did not immediately provide any more details.
The death brings the total number of homicides in Kansas City for 2023 to 156, as per figures compiled by The Star.
