News from Jackson County indicates that a 29 year old woman is being charged with aiding her mother named Marsha Allen, in killing her husband by poisoning him. On October 18, 2023, Ashley Jones, Allen’s daughter, is being detained on charges of attempted murder, murder, murder, and conspiracy to commit murder.
To put the case’s complexity into even more perspective, reports state that on September 19, 2023, Ashley Jones, Allen’s daughter, planned and orchestrated a burglary with the assistance of two men, Steven White and Nathaniel Kane Napier. A press release issued by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department stated that the investigation got underway when Allen reported a break-in at her residence off of North State Road 135 on September 19. In an affidavit for probable cause submitted in connection with the incident, authorities stated that jewellery and guns were taken during the break-in.
White and Napier were accused of burglary of a dwelling, a Level 4 felony; conspiracy to conduct burglary of a residence, a Level 4 felony; and theft, a Level 5 felony when the stolen property is a firearm, according to court filings.
The conversation between the mother and daughter revealed that they were planning to poison Harold Allen, Marsha’s husband, after the investigative team obtained control of both of their phones in December 2022. Marsha’s home was the target of a search warrant that was issued, and more electronic devices were taken into custody by the authorities for additional examination.
After being questioned by the investigating officials, Marsha was freed, but the case’s investigation is still ongoing to look into the claims of a murderous conspiracy.
Marsha Allen’s family reportedly called the sheriff’s office on Monday night at 7:52 p.m., October 16, 2023, to inform them that they had been unable to get in touch with her. Marsha was discovered dead and showing no signs of violence by the authorities when they later arrived at her residence, according to the report.
On October 17, 2023, Ashley Jones, Marsha Allen’s daughter, admitted that although she had placed an internet order for ethylene glycol. Ethylene glycol, a tasteless, rather sweet substance used to manufacture detergents and antifreeze. Humans can die from ingestion. But she told the officers that it was Marsha Allen who had mixed it into her husband’s drink.
