Woman Arrested in Fresno’s Hobby Lobby Parking Lot Standoff

On Friday night, a lady was apprehended during a confrontation with police in the parking lot of a company in Fresno.

Around 5 p.m., the standoff began outside of the Hobby Lobby on Blackstone and Sierra.

According to Fresno police, the lady was wanted in connection with a house burglary and car theft on October 31.

Investigators said they discovered the woman in a stolen automobile outside the establishment and attempted to arrest her.

When cops approached the automobile, the woman allegedly refused to exit, resulting in a standoff.

After about an hour and a half, cops arrived at the car with a K9 and were able to apprehend her.

Fresno police said they used the K9 after repeatedly warning the subject.

Hobby Lobby was shut down as a precaution, but officials said she did not enter the store.

Before being booked into the Fresno County Jail, she was escorted to the hospital for a normal check.

Officers inspected the car for stolen items from the earlier this week burglary.
