Three individuals were shot and killed at a home in central Indiana; the deaths are under investigation by the police.
On Friday afternoon, Muncie police discovered the deaths of two men and a woman at a house on the west side of the city. In an attempt to reach a resident of the house, a person called 911 on Friday, but Deputy Chief Melissa Criswell said on Saturday that she was unable to get through.
According to Criswell, the house showed no indications of forced entry, and there was “no active threat to the community.”
The Delaware County coroner named the dead as 32-year-old Kevin L. Humphrey, 45-year-old Sarah R. Barnes, and her father, 76-year-old Douglas L. Starr. Gunshot wounds claimed the victims’ lives.
On Sunday, Muncie police did not respond to a message.
