An Assisted Care Facility’s Patient Reportedly Suffered A Facial Fracture From A Florida Nurse Pushing Her Against A Wall

The patient suffered facial fractures when a Florida nurse employed at an assisted living facility allegedly assaulted him in the face with an item and then smashed his face against a wall.

In relation to the incident, Kassandra Aihe, 24, was taken into custody and charged with violence on a person who was at least 65 years old, according to the Casselberry Police Department.

According to an arrest report that FOX 35 was able to obtain, the patient was strolling down a hallway of the Casselberry, Florida, facility at around 10:30 p.m. when Aihe noticed her and tried to assist her back to her room.

According to the investigation, Aihe was seen on surveillance film grasping and yanking the woman’s hair to control her after the patient “became combative”. Aihe allegedly dragged the patient to her room and shoved her inside after seizing control.

After the two entered the room, Aihe screamed for around five minutes until a second staff member came in to assist. According to the staff member’s incident report, the patient was bleeding from her face when she entered the room.

According to Aihe’s incident report, the patient suffered facial injuries and bleeding when she struck her face with an instrument before smashing her face against the wall.

The patient was sent to the hospital two days following the event due to extensive bruises on her face, as reported by the executive director of the care facility to the police. The patient reportedly had nose and facial fractures, according to the doctors.

The care facility conducted an investigation as a result of the patient’s visit to the hospital. The patient is not capable of making choices for herself. According to her power of attorney and spouse, he intends to file charges against Aihe.

As stated in the arrest report, Aihe “beyond her scope of duty by pulling [the patient’s] hair to control her and pushing her to move her to her room physically,” according to police.

After being taken to the Seminole County Jail, Aihe posted a $5,000 bond and was allowed to leave.
