To file a claim in a $2.5 million class-action lawsuit which got settled with Batiste Dry Shampoo, customers have only one day.
As the reports says benzene was found out in its aerosol spray cans therefore Batiste dry shampoo and the marketing company Church & Dwight, Co. Inc. agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit.

Customers who have purchased products from Batiste Dry Shampoo before May 30 are eligible to file a claim for refund by Wednesday. The payout to each customer depends upon the proof of purchase they give, for example; customers without proof will receive $10 which $2 per item if they have purchased maximum five items. The customers with proof will be eligible to receive full refund in cash or vouchers.Valisure which is an independent lab had tested different brands of dry shampoo such as Pantene, Aussie, Herbal Essences, HairFood, and Old Spice along with Batiste in 2022. In these the toxic level of benzene were found which is found to be very toxic for use as determined by Food and Drug Administration. This lead to a massive recall to these brands in 2022.
This chemical found in Batiste aerosol can is the one which can heightened the cancer risk if it is exposed to humans, this statement is given by Plaintiffs. The owner of this company named Church & Dwight, has denied any wrongdoing but they agreed to pay $2.5 million to settle the lawsuit.
