Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Cumberland County Accident

An individual was struck by a car on Friday on Sandhill Road; the North Carolina State Highway Patrol is looking into the incident.

A automobile struck a person near Sandhill Road and Smith Road in the Gray’s Creek Community when it was travelling on Sandhill Road, according to the NCSHP.

A person was laying on the road when troopers got there. After being brought to the hospital, the patient was subsequently declared deceased.

There were no other recorded injuries.

The person was declared deceased by Emergency Medical Services on the spot.

The collision is being looked into by the Police Department and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. As of right now, no charges have been brought.
