Tragedy Strikes in Montgomery: One Killed, One Jailed After Friday Night Shooting

A tragic turn of events unfolded in Montgomery, Alabama on Friday night, as a shooting left one man dead and another behind bars. At approximately 6:10 p.m., Montgomery police and fire medics responded to an urgent call reporting a shooting in the 1700 block of Lanier Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 39-year-old Rechardo Wright, who had succumbed to at least one gunshot wound.

Police Captain Raymond Carson revealed that further investigation pinpointed the actual location of the shooting to the 200 block of Fairview Avenue. Investigators swiftly identified 22-year-old Ladarius Arrington as the prime suspect in the case. Without hesitation, they apprehended Arrington and transported him to the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
