He was taken into custody by the authorities the next day after a warrant for his arrest was issued on Thursday.

“We are aware of the disturbing allegations involving Drew Ogletree,” the Colts said in a statement. “The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

According to a probable cause affidavit, the 25-year-old is suspected of body-slamming the victim into the ground, FOX 59 said. With the Colts, Ogletree is in his second season. In September, the 2022 sixth-round draft selection made his NFL debut.
