Eligibility of Senior Citizen to receive Stimulus Check payments of $2000.

The Social Security Administration has passed the Social Security Expansion Act to enhance the financial assistance for the individuals already receiving Social a=Security benefits and to those who will turn 62 in 2023 by $200 per month.

These checks will be given to people with disabilities, low-income families and senior citizens based on following eligibility criteria-

  • The households with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of up to $75,000 for individuals.
  • Married couples filing jointly up to $150,000.
  • The head of households filing up to $112,500.

Any member of the family having Social Security number (SSN) can qualify for Fourth Stimulus Check. Children are qualified even if their parents are ineligible and they have an SSN and also both parents must have ITINs.

States that have approved additional aid

Arizona will be providing annual support to the people returning to their workplace after COVID-19 pandemic of worth $2,000. California will be providing benefit to people who earn less than $75,000 with one-time checks between $600 and $1,200.

Colorado will give $375 to those who have received unemployment payments within a certain period. Maine is going to support the disaster victims by providing them $285 and $850 support checks to counter inflation.

Maryland is going to give $500 and $300 to the families or individuals respectively who filed and Earned Income Tax Credit in 2019. Missouri is going to support mental health workers, nursing homes and correctional facilities with $250.
