Fatal Stabbing Claims Life of Homeless Man Near Downtown Las Vegas

On Wednesday afternoon, a homeless man was fatally stabbed north of downtown Las Vegas.

According to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jason Johansson, police discovered an unconscious guy in his 30s or 40s with a pool of blood surrounding him on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Searles Avenue, near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Washington Avenue, at 3:35 p.m.

According to Johansson, the man seemed to have been stabbed, but police were not aware of any witnesses who witnessed what happened, and there were no reports of a dispute previous to the man’s discovery.
