According to a statement from the city, Kimberlee Singler, 35, of Colorado Springs is wanted on an arrest warrant alleging murder, attempted murder, and child abuse.

The statement stated that when Colorado Springs police responded to a 911 call about a break-in at an apartment building at about 12:30 a.m. on December 19, they discovered the deaths of Singler’s 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son.

Singler’s daughter, age eleven, was also found injured. The statement stated that they were brought to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

“As the investigation into this case unfolded, it was determined the initial report of a burglary was unfounded,” the statement said.

On December 24th, Singler was last seen. On December 26, an arrest warrant was issued.

The FBI is helping in the hunt for Singler, according to Vikki Migoya of the Denver office of the agency.
