Celia Barrett, 35, was taken into custody on Sunday, according to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, when she allegedly entered the RaceTrac at 2551 54th Ave. in St. Petersburg and started swinging about a peeler knife—a tool commonly used to peel fruits and vegetables—and started threading employees. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office claims that she allegedly made verbal threats to kill the management of the store.

She was charged with six charges overall, including two felonies of aggravated assault, after it was reported by the police that she was intoxicated and nude at the time of the incident.

In addition, Barrett faced charges for four misdemeanours: trespassing, criminal mischief, disorderly intoxication, and exhibition of genital organs.

Barrett informed officers that she had attended the facility on Sunday night after consuming six shots of alcohol. The arrest affidavit states that Barrett had previously run at the same gas station back in November.

According to authorities, Barrett entered the building with a “sharp-edged peeler-corer,” confronted employees, and threatened to use the kitchen appliance against them. According to FOX 13 Tampa Bay, she started spewing profanities during the confrontation and brought up her prior incident.

When the general manager of the store saw her acting erratically, she is said to have threatened to murder him.

When it was all over, Barrett put down the gun and left the store, but not before toppling a Red Bull display and scattering around fifty cans all over the place. The report also stated that she destroyed a carton of cigarettes.

If anyone was hurt during the incident is not immediately apparent. When Fox News Digital requested more information, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office did not respond right away.

Just after 7 p.m., she was taken into jail by Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputies who had responded.

Barrett remained in Pinellas County custody as of Wednesday morning.
